Open the OPC's charts using the Google Earth

Meteomarine has created a special kmz file where you can open the radiofax charts provided by Ocean Prediction Center,using Google Earth. There are two kmz files.The first is working when you have internet access in your vessel and the second is working when you don't have internet access in your vessel.

For vessels with internet access

If your vessel has internet access you can free download the kmz file pressing here. For instructions watch the following video (in Greek). 

For vessels without internet access

If your vessel does not have internet access you should download the charts using the FTP mail service and save them in a folder with name OPC. The path must be C:\OPC. Caution: The projection of Google Earth and OPC's charts is not the same north of the parallel of 40 degrees. So there is a small difference between them not greater than 2-3 degrees.
